+ Which class should I take first?
Most new athletes start with Burn or Iron + Oar but every class at Rho is beginner-friendly. Coaches provide setup guidance, technique support, and modifications throughout class.
If you’re unsure, book a First Rho and we’ll guide you toward the best match for your goals and comfort level.
+ What if I've never rowed before?
Perfect—no experience is required.
Rowing is simple to learn, low-impact, and coach-guided from the moment you sit down. Your first class will include stroke instruction and ongoing technique support.
+ What if I feel nervous about keeping up?
We love beginner and we've got you! Plus, you won’t be alone. One of the best parts of rowing is that you've got a crew to help ensure your success. Every athlete moves at their own pace and our coaches provide modifications and personalized targets.
Lights are low, music is high and no one watches your screen. Your workout is your own.
+ Can I come to Rho even if I don't consider myself "fit?"
Yes! Rho was designed to be inclusive for beginners and experienced athletes alike.
Rowing uses your natural rhythm and allows you to work at a sustainable intensity that suits your body today.
+ Do you offer help with goals or consistency?
Yes. We offer goal check-ins, challenges and coach-led smart goal consultations.
Your coach can help you set meaningful targets- strength, technique, consistency or confidence- and guide you toward the right class mix.
+ How do I get the most out of my membership?
Attend 3 times per week, rotate class types for balanced strength, cardiac conditioning and mobility, participate in stroke training and goal-setting consultations and stay engaged with your coaches and crew—our most successful athletes do all three..
+ How early may I reserve a workout?
Schedules are posted four weeks in advance. Rho workouts are reservation-based, and you can sign up anytime at rhoengineroom.com or through the Momence app.
+ Does the schedule change?
Yes—Rho adjusts the schedule based on attendance and demand.
If a workout has no reservations 90 minutes before start time, it will be canceled. New workout times may also be added.
If you have suggestions, chat with your coach or book a quick scheduling chat with Laura.
+ What happens if the class is full?
Join the waitlist! Spots often open as athletes shift their bookings.
Be sure to enable text and email notifications in Momence so you’re alerted the moment a space becomes available.
+ How do I cancel my workout?
Login via our website or the Momence app to cancel at least two hours before class. Cancellations made inside two hours cannot be refunded because they prevent another crew member from booking that spot.
+ What if I don't use all the workouts in my pack?
If you’re unsure you will use a larger pack, consider purchasing a smaller one. All pack purchases are final and are not refundable or transferable.
+ What should I wear and bring along?
Wear comfortable, form-fitting athletic clothing to avoid interference with equipment. Bring a water bottle. Cubbies are available for personal items
+ How early should I arrive?

Returning athletes: Arrive 5 minutes early to check in and prepare your equipment.
